I was visiting the beautiful tiled steps of San Francisco’s 16th Avenue one day when a family that was either about to attend a wedding or just returning from one appeared. In a flash, their daughter, dressed in a fabulous pink dress, raced up the stairs squealing with glee. I was only able to get one shot off before the moment passed. It’s one of my favorite photos.

    love the contrast of that girl in her beautiful pink dress running up those amazing stairs.
    sometimes, photos can capture emotion, and I really feel the excitement of that little girl as she runs upwards…..
